About Us
The Community Development Corporation of Martinsville-Henry County(CDC MHC) had its beginning in December of 2013. It began with an outreach meeting at Albert Harris Elementary School. From that meeting, a core group of concerned residents formed The West End Working Group. That group met consistently over a three year period developing a strategy for addressing the many issues within the West End community of the City of Martinsville, and its impact of the Martinsville-Henry County community at-large.
In March 2015, the West End CDC was officially incorporated as a 501(c) 3, Non-Profit Corporation.

Its Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders and concerned citizens within the West End community and surrounding localities. The Board meets monthly and meetings are open to the public. In addition, the CDC has a number of committees that are staffed by volunteers from the community. All residents are encouraged to join and participate in this exciting endeavor.
